I heard its possible to lose weight by making a healthy lifestyle change, but...
A lot of people here use protein powder. Is that a necessity in losing weight?
Also, I've heard you can have whole grain bread, but I always hear people cutting out breads, grains, ect. Can I continue eating those types of carbs and lose weight.
Also, does anyone know a good cereal brand that's healthy/ doesn't have a lot of sugar but still tastes good?

Protein powders are not necessary if you get protein out of other foods.like eggs, chicken, turkey, beans, quinoa ect.
As far as carbs you can have whole wheat bread but try to limit it to once a day because other foods already contain carbs. I eat a half on English muffin in the morning as my carb.
Moderation is key.even too much of a good thing can be bad.
Hope that answers your question.0 -

Gammerthumbs- there isn't anything wrong with protein powder. I don't consume them because I rather chew food than drink it. If your lifting and trying to build lean muscle then it's a good idea because you will need the xtra protein.0

Dee I have really been enjoying adding protein powder to my fruit and almond milk smoothies. I use them as a meal or snack replacement though as they are not low in calorie. Though I just bought some new ens whey lean protein. The chocolate fudge is yummy for only 100 calories and 15 g. Protein!0
