looking for medium distant runners

Runners, Joggers and Fast Walkers with a preferred distance of 6 to 12 miles per session, with average of 25 to 35 miles a week. Pavement or Treadmill. I enjoy running and looking for friends who want to be around other medium distance runners on my friend list. I joined the 1000 mile challenge this year and can use other runners around me to inspire me. Add me!!!

Hiya! Nice to meet you, I'm a 10k'er and a HM'er. No plans for a full anytime soon. I haven't been active on here for a while, but I'm going to try to be now that I'm dieting down for the spring racing season. :D Friend me if you like.
  • Thank you for the add!!! I started my 1000 mile challenge 1 January. I need to average 84 miles per month to reach my goal in 2014. I am stoooooked! I wanted to put other "like minds" on my newsfeed so I can keep motivated. I been running medium distance for over 22 years.

Hello everyone! I like to run 10k's and have a half marathon planned this spring. Right now I run about 15 miles/week, but that will increase as I get closer to my HM.

I ran a 10k on Saturday - it was brutal! I was fine with the distance, but the weather was tough. It was about 14F with about 18mph winds, wind chill around -5F. Most of the course was a few inches of new snow on icy roads, some if it unplowed. The race was called the Snowman, so I guess it was fitting. I have another 10k on the same course in 3 weeks, and that one is the Ice Cube. Those two along with a March Race (Mud Dogs) make up the Winter Warrior Series. After Saturday I definitely feel like a Winter Warrior!

I love this group!! Half marathons are the longest race I plan on running, it's the perfect mileage for me. :)

Hi! I am a medium distance runner who enjoys running half marathons. My friends have tried to talk me into running a full, but at mile 11 of the Half, I know that 13 miles is more than enough for me.

I only run 12 to 20 miles a week (run three days a week), but I also do a lot of walking (10 to 20 miles a week). I prefer to run outside, but living in Montana, that is not always possible, so I spend quite a bit of winter running on the treadmill.

I recently agreed to a Tough Mudder (agreed without fully looking into what all is involved in a Tough Mudder!) so my focus will need to be divided between running and strength training the next couple of months.
  • Thanks everyone. I put in a friend request to ya'll. I can't wait until I see you on my newsfeed murdering miles!!!

Whoop finally a group that isn't all about c25k lol
I've been running a few years, have a hatred for 5k events, have done a few 10k and am doing my 1st h'm in April.........farrr too excited about it :D

I run a few times a week inbetween rugby and cycling. I'm slowly building up from 6m runs as the weeks progress and really am trying not to rush the process, but thats the hard bit lol

As far as my friends go, mine fall into 2groups; the ones who say "stop it etc etc" and the fab ones who think its great.........mmmm perhaps I should name them the Lazy slobs and the awesome bunch :D
