In a Nutshell
Overcome challenges containing heights, water, fire, darkness, and tight spaces in a run based on the U.S. military's confidence course
Running is more exciting when it entails a special challenge, like making it across a muddy field or escaping a forest full of wicked children. Break away from the pack with this Groupon.
The Groupon Deal
$28 for general race admission ($55 value)
The Phoenix event will be held Saturday, February 22, and Sunday, February 23, starting at 8 a.m. each morning. Beyond the finish line lies a celebratory after-party with food and cold drinks.
About the FEAR Adventure Series
To its organizers, the "fear" in the Fear Adventure Series isn't supposed to be scary. They see it as an acronym for “Forget Everything and Run," and "everything" includes common phobias such as heights, freezing water, fire, darkness, small spaces, and running people. A group of military veterans with more than 40 years of combined service modeled the run on the U.S. military's confidence course, and unlike the mazes on the backs of cereal boxes, it's not supposed to set you up for failure. After they finish, participants carry their newfound confidence to a post-race party and celebrate with cold drinks, food, and live music.
Be sure to let the group know that you signed up. You can find the groupon at this link: https://www.groupon.com/deals/fear-adventure-series
