I know it has been asked..... but calories burnt?

I have been successfully maintaining at 53kg for over a year on 1800 cals. I am wondering though, how much I actually burn when lifting? I'm doing NROL supercharged, so a set program of approx. 60 mins per workout with solid moves and I do push myself. I want to make sure I'm eating enough and I do note that lifting sometimes makes for a pretty hungry day. Trouble is, I then go over on cals. MFP calculates my calorie burn as 169 for 60 mins strength training. Does this seem right? I'm quite light so some might find that low but with my weight the burns do tend to be on the lower side.

Does anyone have any input? Thanks :-)

    Hi!

    Calories burned while lifting is extremely variable and as such it's a bit hard to estimate - intensity, reps, rest times etc will all factor. I usually recommend about 200 - 300 calories an hour to be conservative.

    At the end of the day, just see if your results are in line with your expectations and adjust accordingly.

    Do you superset your lifts? If not, I find that this site's #s is a good indicator since it seems to assume you lift, wait, lift again, wait etc... I double/triple set my workouts but still use this site's #s to make sure I'm not overestimating my lift calories burnt.

    Ultimately, you have to see what your weight/body fat are doing to determine how accurate your food/work out calories are being logged.
