This is the reading today from our OA literature, For Today:
"For Today: there is nothing to lose in seeking the God of my understanding except my false pride, my food obsession, my fat and all the life-destroying illusions that this illness breeds."
This really hit home because I struggled with the idea of a higher power mixed in with my recovery program. This disease of compulsion cannot be effective without the tools. I'm grateful to be able to address my disorder through the steps!
