Able to eat, still having to take immodium due to the broad spectrum antibiotic, but it appears my body is holding onto something!!! ANtibiotic was finished on Saturday, so a few more days and my fingers are crossed that my body gets back in order. I am eating Activia 3x a day along with Align to aid in the probiotics, but I swear it doesn't matter if I eat healthy or poorly, same reaction.

No one else posted since my last update on Friday, but I had a fabulous weekend. I did eat/drink at the PHoenix Open, but I also got in 27 stairs and 16,762 steps...AND I attempted to dance later that night (knee didn't like it much after all of the walking...lol). Sunday we hosted the Superbowl/UFC fight - even though the entire group was out until 3am, they showed up at 2 and we had a good time together - despite the Broncos not showing up to play.

Due to the tummy issues continuing, I was unable to train last night. Seriously thinking of depends right now. I did go to therapy today, and was able to do manual therapy and some stretching. We are going to attempt exercises on Friday. I am going to attempt training again tomorrow - my bag is packed and in my office to change into before I leave.

You ladies have been doing amazing. I don't know who chats with Cheryl in other formats, but she is ROCKIN' the New Year with some serious reductions - even with her being snowed in a few days. Her big accomplishment that I can see is some really healthy food choices. Her husband is even on board with her choices and showing some great reductions as well.

OK...since I just got into the office, I better get to work. Have a great day and I hope everyone posts their updates.

Two words . . Super Bowl. Back on track with trainer today. She's been doing a 30 day squat challenge with her clients. Today we did 140 squats. We're half way trough the 30 days. It ends at 250 squats! Hope I don't die. :noway:

Lois, you're really moving up the leaderboard! Looks like your knee is cooperating. Now if you can get your tummy "aligned", you're really going to be making a lot of progress. Cheryl IS doing great! It really helps when one's hubby is on board. Mine is thin, loves junk food, and has a fast metabolism. Not fair!

    Have a great week.

Good grief... I keep forgetting that the new post won't be under My Topics! I missed last week entirely! Hope everyone is doing okay. As you can see - I was not! I had a bad cold and I think a bad attitude, and was eating, well, everything. I am getting back on track. Not keeping to my calorie limit entirely, but a lot closer than I was for a couple of weeks. I had bought some foods that I knew I probably shouldn't, and sure enough I wasn't in control. The up side is, they're all gone now! LOL! And so lesson learned - just don't buy it. Also I wasn't exercising because of my bad cold - hard to do when you can't breathe! Now we're in a long term cold spell outside, and it makes me want to stay home but as long as the snow doesn't fly, I will venture out to the gym.

In other news, I am at least getting the spare room tidied up. There's a ton of craft stuff in there, lots of which I inherited from my mom, and it's all been higgledy piggeldy in boxes and cupboards and drawers. I had to take most of the stuff out of the cupboards and drawers and put it in another room, and now am slowly getting like items together and putting them away. It's getting to be a bit of an obsession, trying to get it cleared up, but I am going to have to take a break from it and get sewing or those quilts are really not going to get done in time.

Looks like we all have been struggling with one thing or another. I was down this weekend with tendonitis of my elbow and though it is MUCH better today, there are still positions that let me know it is not totally healed. I've been good with my food though, and continued with my exercises to bring me to a total weekly deficit of 6688 calories. My sodium average for the week was 2025 so I really don't understand why the scale failed to show a loss. The previous weigh in had been encouraging after such a struggle maintaining for so long. It's disheartening to see no loss this week. Maybe it will be another big down next week. We'll see.

    oh well...

Lois, so sorry to hear you are still battling that tummy stuff. I sure hope it is behind you soon. Once you get that behind you, you'll be set as it looks like you are moving around a lot more and your steps have been doing better. Wow at what you did this weekend! Glad you had fun :)

Sheesh, good luck with your squat challenge. That's a LOT of squats!!

Good for Cheryl with her weight loss. I don't follow her anywhere but here and fitbit but it's good to hear that she's doing so well. I'm wishing my results were going the same way (sigh...)

Andrea, there are certain things I can't have in my house either... hope your cold is behind you and you are feeling better and more like exercise. I've got a craft room I've been organizing for about a year. Got it almost done but then got busy with a few projects and haven't gotten back to it yet. :P Projects and quilting are so much more fun than cleaning up, LOL. Good luck getting your quilts done.

Sheesh - All I gotta say is your bum and legs are going to be GORGEOUS after all of those squats!!! WOW!! Seriously impressed and i do alot of squats in therapy and training (or I did and will again very soon). pppssst I am hoping to start giving you ladies more challenges... I can't wait to move up on the leaderboard again.

Light - AWESOME job maintaining!!! Especially with the limited activity and if your place was anything like mine, too many poor selections were around (thankfully I did send many of the extras out the door with my guests).

Andrea - today is a new day and an opportunity to improve from yesterday. Make good choices now and you will be rewarded next week. Glad to see you updating us.

Kelly - I am excited to see your updated numbers.

Sarah?!?!?!?!?! Where are you?!?! I hope you're not buried under a ton of ice and snow like Cheryl and Kelly.

Fingers crossed to begin training tonight. Excited and nervous all at the same time.

So, I take ONE day to get pampered getting my hair colored, cut, etc...and BOOM, I'm in 6th place on my leaderboard!! Light passed me too! (Way to go!) Oh well, I had a nice day off, and a rest day on the squat challenge too. It's back to business tomorrow.

Did you guys see the finale of The Biggest Loser? I was seriously shocked and concerned. I won't spoil if it's still on your DVR unseen. I don't believe I'll watch that show anymore.

Sarah?? Where are you my friend?

LOL, all it takes is one slacking off day and everyone's ready to roll right over you on that leaderboard. :) It's happened to me more times than I can count but all it will take is a few good days on your end or waiting until that slack day falls off and you'll be right back up there. I kinda figured you slacked off so I could taste a little victory since my efforts don't seem to be dropping the weight like it should be... (yeah, right ;):) )

I was really surprised and very pleased with the at home winner's efforts (never really liked her as a contestant for some reason, we just didn't click) but am pleased with how she's turned her life around and the weight she lost. I was a bit concerned over the winner but only a little which I'll explain later after I know it's not a spoiler anymore. I pretty much agree with what season? winner Alli said in response. It's a hard balance and when that much money is at stake, you do what you need to do and then figure out where you need to be from there. Without that extra effort, looks like someone else would have won and it's all about percentages lost and not body/fat composition. At the end of the competition, when you have lost about all there is to lose, what do you do if you still want to win? You keep at it because that is what it takes, and there's a lot of money at stake. It's not like there is any prize for second/third place (though maybe there should be). If someone comes on with a huge amt to lose, as some of these really heavy guys do, their percentage possible to lose is greater than the percentage of someone who has a very large amt of weight to lose by comparison. I have more problems with the way the show has come up with ways to sabotauge the contestants' efforts along the way, and how there is very little shown that will help the audience learn how to eat right.

    Hi, Ladies,

This will be quick, but thanks for asking about me. I don't want to be forgotten!

Work has absolutely gobbled me up for the past three weeks and this past week was particularly bad. The previous two weeks, I did walk 6 days a week, although other than the walking time, I was flat on my rear updating information and checking data and documenting, responding to inquiries--you name it.

Besides the fact that my clients just released a major 1000 page report with a 500 page addendum of tables and several other smaller key publications, we also started a new ad campaign this week. Add to that that my team lead is having surgery Monday and will be out two or three weeks, so we were pushing to get things done while she could review and approve them. I've put in many 12+ hours days now. (Wish I got paid for that overtime.)

We've also had some other things come up--not to us, personally, but to those in our circle. Another friend lost a mother last week, and my next door neighbor is still in medical facility following a stroke. So I've also been getting up early and making big pots of soup and casseroles to share.

This week has been probably my worse since I strapped on a bodybugg three--or is it four now?--years ago. I did not get to walk last night, and I'm not going to get there tonight either. I never miss two days in a row!

Last night I had to do three annual trainings for work after working a very long day, and I also had a meeting at church. Tonight, the battery in hubby's car died, which set us back on time, and now I have volunteer work ahead with not enough time in between to walk.

I am soooo hoping that things get closer to normal next week. I have not weighed yet this week and fear the worse.

Thanks for being here. This weekend, I hope to come back to the boards and read everyone's posts slowly so I can get up to date with what is going on with everyone and how you're doing.

Gotta run now--but I AM alive! And it's Friday!!

    Hi all!

So sorry that I haven't posted in awhile. I have been reading yours posts, but just haven't had the time to post on here. I missed out on my weigh in last week, but don't worry, I was probably in the same boat as most of you. With Super Bowl, the cold weather at home, and some medication side effects, I just wasn't doing as many steps as I should have been, therefore I'm sure I was a plus in my weight or at the same weight as last week.

We'll see how this week goes. The past two days, I've walked over 15,000 steps each day. Gotta keep that up for a bit. I just went off the medication that was causing me some side effects, so I'm hopeful that will make a difference.

    Keep smiling and stepping!:flowerforyou:
