I can't tell you how many times I hear someone say "they can't lose weight", then they post an enormous Shabbos menu. Besides challah, I see menus with pasta salads, potato salads, and even rice. How much starch do you need?

Drinks. Desserts. Dip, oh my Lord, the dips !!!! Like you have to encourage anyone to oink challah, and to dip it in fat and salt, no less!!!

Even if you have guests and/or little kids at home - I fed yeshiva kids for years and they ate exactly what we ate - sometimes more, sometimes less. I never felt that I had to make a huge, fattening feast - and then what am I supposed to do with leftovers?

Just sayin'.
