Happy Tuesday everyone!
I did not run yesterday, so I need to do that tonight after Pilates. When I got to the gym last night the treadmills were all full so I got on the elliptical instead. There were treadmills open afterward but my right calf was cramping. My cousin was on a treadmill so I walked for a bit & chatted with her, but pretty slowly.
Also it looks like this is the last thread starter so if anybody has any great sayings feel free to add on!0 -
My exercise for the day is housecleaning. My husband is real sick with bronchitis and i did a ton of cleaning and laundry this morning trying to rid the house of germs along with taking him to doc.
My husband had 70 lymph nodes taken out 15 yrs ago when he had cancer and a simple cold can turn into bronchitis or pneumonia quick in just a day or two, he was fine yesterday and today has double bronchitis.
I am now thinking i shouldn't go away in public with him in the winter.
Our lymph nodes are the part of our body that fights infections and he doesn't have them. I had no idea how many we had until after meeting my husband, we have been together 14 yrs, I met him a year after.
He had a rare throat cancer, he didn't smoke, and a great doctor in SF head of cancer clinic now for Stanford. We were living in bay area then.0 -
Hope your husband recovers quickly from his bronchitis, Marla! That sounds scary that he can get sick so fast.0

Oh my goodness, Marla, hope your husband gets better as quickly as possible. Sounds like you are taking good care of him. It sure seems like being in public this time of year puts us at risk for catching things, but also beware of eating out (going out or take-away/delivery). Seems when it's cold & flu season that one of our family always gets sick right after take-away. People need to make a living, and they show up to work sick and handle the food. eeek!
Laura, you're still going strong. I need to learn from your consistency. Of course I'll have a look around for some threadstarting material, but everyone's welcome to contribute!
So, I had plans for a leg workout that got derailed by my son. Seems the school is doing local field trips much of this week and there's not as much homework, so he begged to not go to the tutor, and DH joined forces with him to convince me. In son's defense, doing the homework at home shaves off about an hour+ worth of commute time to/from the tutor, that he gets as much-needed free-time. So instead of the gym, I helped with some homework, did housework, and then took lil girl grocery shopping. At least I lugged the groceries from the neighborhood, up the hill to our building (but I drew the line at carrying the bags AND lil girl--made her walk! haha). Better luck tomorrow for the workout I hope. Still thinking of how to re-arrange my workout splits and might have to post a topic in the forums for opinions on it, if I don't figure it out on my own soon.
Have a GREAT ONE!!0
