Hey there sexy people!!

So today is 6 months of this new lifestyle and I have lost 50.4 lbs. I have another 5 lbs to go to meet my first major weight goal. I'm not sure exactly what my ultimate goal is but I'm just happy that I hit the 50 lbs lost mark.

If you are at the beginning of your journey, you will get to 6 months in no time. I actually remember my first week and thinking back then that I can't wait till I have lost 5 lbs and it would take FOREVER. It went by quickly....it wasn't easy.....and I had bumps in the road. But you know what? The 6 months would have gone by regardless of what I did. I'm just glad that I stayed on track (sometimes having to jump BACK on track) at a DEFICIT. Because here I am....

Keep keeping on.....

Good attitude and good point. So many of us have a hard time getting motivated in the beginning, and then staying motivated when we hit a plateau or the healthy lifestyle just seems too hard. It can seem like a long, slow struggle sometimes, but what is the alternative? Keep doing the things that made us fat, and keep getting fatter, sicker and older?

No matter how slow our progress is, the time will have gone by anyway, and we will get older. Whether we lose a pound or 100 pounds, we're better off than we would have been if we'd maintained the status quo (and most likely gained).

Keep on keepin' on, and congrats!

ETA: I'm 9 months in, closing in on my goal, and looking ahead to maintenance, while trying not to become complacent and keep my eye on the prize. Maintenance will not be the end of our journeys, but a whole new chapter of our lives.
