I just joined this group, so I thought I would say "hi."
I started my WLP on June 1st, 2013. That day I stepped on the scale and it said 400 lbs. Since the scale maxes out at 400, there is no way for me to know what my real weight was, but I don't think it was much higher than that, I hope. Anyway, I decided then and there that not only would I lose the weight, but I would also NOT gain it back. It's been almost 8 months now and I am down 72 pounds to around 327. I still have a LONG way to go, but I am feeling pretty confident.
In 2011 I had started a WLP at 360 and lost down to 333 before going off of it and regaining to where I was on June 1st. I don't even know why I stopped the previous plan, but I do know that I stopped logging the day after my birthday, so maybe the getting-older blues. I survived my birthday this year and have broken past that 333 mark, so I feel really good about this.
I only count calories. I pay a little attention to macros, but not much. My goal is a 1000 calorie deficit. I usually hit it, though I do have days when I feel extra hungry (probably hormonal issues). If I am feeling particularly hungry I allow myself to eat at maintenance. That's made a big difference in keeping control of things. The less rigid I am about what I eat and how much I eat, the easier it is for me to keep it under control, which probably sounds backwards, LOL.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to getting under 300 lbs sometime in the next 4 - 6 months, hopefully. I haven't been under 300 since 2005.

well hello!
I dont check this room out often, about once a week or so----so I am glad to meet you. I was really close to 400 also, and got down to just just below 200 in November--YAY!! Then I gained over the holidays when I quit tracking---BOO! But I am working hard to get back on track--YAY!
have a great day!
