Would like to drop 5 lbs by next Sunday. Help!

Hello!

I am new to the group :)

I have a question regarding my next goal weight. I'd like to drop 4-5 lbs by next Sunday. My body has a REALLY hard time dropping weight. I eat a clean diet and train 5-6x a week for 1 hour. I do 30-40 mins of cardio and 20-30 mins lifting. I am currently 5'4 and 145 lbs. My next 5 week goal weight is coming up on Sunday and I am nowhere near where I want to be. IS it possible for me to change up something in order for me to lose? I know weight shouldn't be a factor because I did drop a pant size recently (whoot whoot!) but I am frustrated by how slow it is taking to drop the weight. What can I do to kick my metabolism into high gear? Oh, I am taking some Advocare crap that doesn't seem to be working :P

I'm training for a competition with my husband. He's actually going to be competing. I'm not. I would like to try next year but I want to see if I have what it takes! My "goal" weight is 125lbs and I'd like to get there by July. I'm doing it the good old fashioned way and it's taken me a very long time to get where I am at now. It wasn't until recently that I kicked my butt into high gear and started eating clean and training seriously. But as a women it's hard to not see that scale move much!

I'll echo SS' question: why? I can lose 8 lbs in one day. Most people can. I did that to win a bet last year. Bet my buddy I could get below 200 lbs before he did. Got to 206 and weighed in 2 days later at 199. Won my bet. Then went back to my normal diet and was right back at 206 and finally got below 200 8 months later. I decided to maintain 205 so I wasn't trying to get below 200.

So, if you want to win a bet, then that might be a good reason to drop 4-5 lbs in a week. Other than that, steady as she goes. If you turn this into a race you will go crazy and increase the likelihood of failure. You got this far, you can go the distance without any silliness.

If you are not competing, why are you looking to drop 5lb by Sunday?
