Has anyone considered doing this diet plan? I've been hearing a lot about it lately and just wanted to get others thoughts. As far as I can tell, you eat normal for 5 days and pick two days out of the week where you only eat 500 calories. Anyone else have thoughts?

I had not heard of this diet before. I suppose it's a lot like other fasting diets. For me, this would not be doable. One I don't think I could eat just 500 calories a day. Also, even if I did, I think I would end up going way over on the "regular" eating days--negating any calorie deficit from the fasting days. I'd prefer to knock off a couple hundred calories per day rather than trying to do an extremely low calorie fast on even two days a week.0

Yes, I am doing this eating plan. It is pretty easy. Bust my fast day today though so going to do tomorrow instead. Key really for me is to not eat anything at all until 6pm. Then it is easy.
I felt tired and unwell after my Zumba class today though so decided to skip it today.0 -
Looks like. I have not lost weight but that is coz when I first registered I weighed 161 lbs and then it crept put to 175. Now got down to 168, using the fast diet.0

How do you eat on normal days? On your fast days do you burn calories in order to eat more? I'm reaching the point where I no longer want to count calories. I'm so tired of counting everyday, but I don't want to gain weight back. I'm needing something new but I can't decide what to do.0

No on the fast days you are not sposed to eat back calories. Just eat 500 cals a day for girls, 600 for boys. What I actually find has worked for me as also I don't like counting cals much is this... I just stop eating after dinner day before so that was 7pm last night and then. I won't eat until dinner tonight. 6pm. To be honest I have three young kids and a hungry meat and two veg husband so j usually just then eat whatever I have made for the family. but then no wine or chock after dinner.
On the other 5 days I pretty much eat what I like. My calories creep up from wine and chocolates. I measure my calories over the course of the week not really daily. if towards the end of the week it looks like I am going tobe over my calorie goal I either skip a breakfast or lunch or two or do a massive exersize splurge to bring it down.
I find eating the added calories from exercise is making the weight loss slow. Anyway it is coming off slowly at 1 lb a week. And. I am loving my wine and chocolates 5 days a week.0 -
There is no way I could go that long without eating, but I could have low calorie veggies during the day and then dinner. Thanks, you definitely given me some stuff to think about!0
