Hi Calie,
Lots of science behind intermittent fasting - some people choose to do a 5 day normal eating and 2 days reduced/fast eating (5:2 diet) or as I have decided to do a shorter eating window of 8 hours (16:8 diet; 8 Hour diet)
Here are a few links to get you "in the loop". For me controlling the eating window enables me to eat bigger meals and stop the mindless grazing. When I eat breakfast I find it gets me going early in the day and I keep eating/wanting to eat.

Here is a great video - its worth watching as he visits a number of leading scientists and they explain how this works.

EAT FAST AND LIVE LONGER
I found this video very interesting, but I was hoping he would talk about daily fasting such as 16:8. Does that have the same benefits as the things he talked about?0
