New here, logging question

Hi everyone, I'm new to this group. I love the idea of being able to eat more and still lose weight! Restricting too many calories has never worked for me in the past, so I believe this is just the option for me.

My BMR is 1762, my TDEE is 2731, making a 15% cut of 2331. I read that the TDEE incorporates your average exercise for the day as well and you should only eat back your exercise calories if the exceed 455.
My question is... am I supposed to log my exercise in MFP? How would I know when to eat back calories and how much? Thanks for the help, I'm confused here.

oh, one more question... do I need to reset my daily calorie goal to the cut number?

    Welcome!!

For me (and many others) the easiest thing to do is to set your daily goal to whatever your target is and just consistently try to hit that each day. As far as the exercise, if you log it (so that you have a record) but then just change the calories burned to "1" ... that way it won't mess with your calorie goal (or macros).
