Challenge: Thursday (2/20) through Saturday (2/22)

For Thursday: Think about something you tend to do that you shouldn't (i.e. nervous habits, waking up too late, skipping the gym). List out the pros and cons of doing that thing. Which list is longer? Think about this during the day and keep thinking up pros and cons. For your body, do a chore that requires some extra activity (i.e. vacuuming, shoveling, walking the dog) you wouldn't regularly do.

For Friday: Come up with ideas on things you can do to stop or instead of the thing you do that you probably shouldn't (i.e. if you bite your nails til it hurts, perhaps tap your fingers on your lap instead). If it's something bigger like waking up too late for work, set yourself up to be on time (set your alarm 5 minutes earlier, prepare your outfit and stuff for the next day, go to sleep a bit earlier, disconnect from devices earlier than you normally would). For your body, do another chore that requires extra activity (even just 5 minutes!)

For Saturday: Catch yourself, don't just say "screw it" if you're doing that thing you shouldn't be. Stop yourself in the act. Say to yourself "I am going to stop this" and use the coping skills you've thought of above. Don't give up! Keep doing this day to day and hour to hour. It'll eventually become second nature. For your body, do two different activities, even just 10 extra minutes. Congratulate yourself for getting through it!

Thanks! Last three days I have been more aware of the habits I would like to remove or enhance. I think that's going to end up being an irritate process. Going to try to start adding/removing things one at a time each week.

Also have been purposely doing more around the house/neighborhood. Getting an early jump on spring cleaning. :)
