What to do when you don't feel like working out?

What do you do to get through those times? Now I most definitely need my workouts to help my mental health so I rarely miss, however, I do have lazy days.

Do you do the workout? Do you take the day off?

Sounds like maybe a little burn out or mental fatigue. Go do something different and FUN! Take a hike, or bike ride, or something to change the scenery and atmosphere. We sometimes keep pushing and pushing ourselves. For that, we need a little reward to tell us it's all worth it.

When I get mental fatigue, like, "I just don't want to do this today". I change it to doing something completely different. Tony Horton said "80% of the workout is just showing up!" So no need to beat yourself up everyday. Some of my friends change things by going for a swim, or signing up for a 5K and just have fun with a costume.
  • That's a good idea. Today was a day where I wanted to quit half way through. I didn't and I'm so glad I didn't. I was just so tired this morning. I think I should have just rested. I'm thinking I'm just a little tired and need the rest.
