Early weight stall

I know, I know...I am not suppose to worry about the scale. But I have been stalled for almost a week now and I am only two weeks out. Is this common? I expected stalls but not this quick. I am sticking to 80 grams of protein a day and following my plan. I have not been exercising yet because I have had a sinus infection but plan to start that tomorrow? Any thoughts? I am a little discouraged and just can't believe the weight is not falling off. I am only consuming around 600 calories a day.

It'd be unusual if you DIDNT hit a stall A couple weeks after surgery I stalled for almost a month. I know how frustrating it, but keep up the good work and you will get past it and start dropping weight like crazy!0

I personally did not experience a stall until about 6 months out. However, I have heard earlier stalls are common. Usually around 3 weeks or so. The biggest things are making sure you are getting enough water, and getting your protein. I would not necessarily up the calories, as that's hard to do in the first few months.
When do you switch over to the puree food diet? Mine was after two weeks. That might help to jump start it a bit.
Don't forget that your body is still getting used to itself. You very possibly could be just retaining more water, or a um...be a bit backed up. I know all those protein shakes had me constipated for quite awhile after surgery.0 -
I had surgery abroad and didn't weigh myself until I got back home 2 weeks after surgery. I had honestly expected some crazy difference but had only lost like 5 lbs and stalled for about 2 weeks.0

Every time I've stalled, I have reflected back to a few points...they don't always help, but it's more logical than me crying or feeding myself. Some of my thoughts...
1. My body is not used to burning fat. It's used to storing it. It's in shock. Give it some time.
2. I didn't put the weight on in a week; it's not all going to drop off in a week.
3. The scale is just one way of measuring success. Look at all of the rules you are following. Go you!
4. It's not a race; it's a journey.
I hope these thoughts help you in some way. My longest stall was about 4 1/2 weeks long. Hang in there!0
