I wish when you updated your ticker it reflected the date of the update not the day you created it. I created a new one on Nov 11 and have been updating it but it still shows Nov 11. Should I be creating a new ticker each time? Or am I doing something wrong?

I think that there is a slight delay at the moment when updating your ticker. A couple of hours after it's posted it seems to correct itself. It's doing the same to me too.
