Inconsistent pressing

I have a feeling that this probably boils down to not having form dialed in with 100% regularity, but does anyone else commonly have wildly different results in pressing work on a day-to-day/week-to-week basis? After struggling with working in the 80-90% range for singles and doubles a lot lately, I went in yesterday and made 10 triples at 82'ish%, then threw in some heavier singles and managed to work up to a single that tied my current tested 1RM. I'm not disappointed, just confused.

i get that way sometimes too, but mine is all form. if i get sloppy and dont pay attention to my set up/grip spacing/shoulder and back tightness i will fail a heavy set about 80% of the time. if i do, i just rerack the bar and take about 2-3 minutes and set up properly and bang it out without an issue.0
