    Happy Sunday everyone!

It's my cardio cross-train day. Usually try to go late in the afternoon but I'm getting a massage at 3:00 today so I'll run to the gym this morning to get my workout in.

Decided to take a rest day today. Usually I take Monday, so tomorrow I'll decide if whether to just switch the days, or to take a double rest. :)

Three of the past four weeks I've taken 2 rest days instead of my usual one. Sometimes you just need to do that! I haven't been feeling great and kind of run down. Finally starting to feel good again, so I think it was the right thing to do. When I get run down I get sick and I don't have time to get sick.

Just finished up my gym workout. I always feel lazy on Sundays about going to the gym and then have such an awesome workout once I get there. Did some cross-training today. I love the variety of hopping around from machine to machine. Did 15 minutes on the rowing machine, low back & inner thigh machines (3x15), 15 minutes on the AMT cross-trainer (there are 3 different ways you can move the pedals so I did 5 minutes at each stride length), front/back & side-to-side ankle band exercises to strengthen my hips for running (3x15), 15 minutes on the spin bike, changing up speed and resistance every minute, 3 different shoulder band exercises (3x15), 8 minutes on Jacob's Ladder (one 5 minute interval & one 3 minute interval), and finally got in a stretch & used the foam roller on my IT bands.

I tried a course at my gym today! :) It was called FatburnX and was a combination of step- aerobic and workout with small weights. Those 45 minutes really got me, I was so glad when it was over, added some minutes of calm breathing and stretching, that was really good :)

Fells didn't pass the nosework test yesterday, but he really did well and worked hard the whole time. He choose the odor over the food (it was a clementine and a cinnamon bun yesterday) and so passed that one, but in two others he wasn't able to find the second hide within the time given. I think that we all just need more practice. I'm proud of him.

Today, Fells and I ran a 10k practice run, then i did some stretching. I've got some body weight exercises I plan to do this evening.

Enjoy the rest of your weekends, and I agree that you need to take rest days and light weeks when you need them, so that you don't run yourself into the ground.
