At home workouts like Jillian Michaels 30 day shred?

Hey all,
So I am almost 2 years post op and looking for new ways to stay active. I have a membership with my college gym that I go to when I have time, but sometimes it's just so time consuming just getting there and back. It's a 30-40 minute walk there, I try to workout for an hour or so, and then a 30-40 minute walk back. Living in midtown Atlanta, if it gets too late in the afternoon, I don't like to walk alone after dark.
I need to find something high intensity that I can do at home so I can focus more on doing the workout rather than traveling to and from a gym. I was looking at workout vids like the 30 day shred or insanity. I honestly can't imagine being able to start off with insanity, so I figured I would try the 30 day shred and see how well I can stick with it and what my results are.
Has anyone tried these sorts of workouts? Anyone want to join me?

In case anyone is interested, I just finished day 1 of level 1 of the 30 day shred. It was a lot easier than I expected, but then again, I only just started. I'm sure I'll be sorer as the days progress. I feel certain I can do this in conjunction with my regular 3 times a week cardio, so we shall see. Feeling pretty good though.0

Today was only day 2 of level 1 and my muscles are screaming at me... I bought some 5lbs dumbbells to use with the workout like she says to, but man do I hurt. Pushing through!! I can do it!0 -

Took a break over the weekend, so I just did day 4 of level 1! Trying to make sure I don't get burned out right away. Muscles were very happy to take a little break so I could give my all again tonight!
