How many carbs usually stick from marinading?

I'm possibly going to experiment with different marinades, but I realize most have a few carbs in table spoons. IF im going to soak my chicken in a marinade for a day how many of the carbs is it likely the chicken will absorb.

    I would just measure the amount of marinade you put in, and measure it when you take it out to see how much is absorbed.

    Why not just make your own marinades and avoid the sugar carbs?

    Doesnt it take a lot of preparation? Mojo has about 2 carbs per table spoon. IS it possible to make a marinade with just water and then put spices in it? Of course then the chicken might absorb too much water. Could try lemon juice and then put spices in it but not sure where they sell that in the store. Perhaps the food in olive oil with spices. I really wasnt wanting a scale. I have a measuring cup I could experiment with might be the way to go once just to see wht happens.

    I've always made my own marinades...so much better, no MSG, and much cheaper!
