I know this has to do with Dawn Effect, but wondered what your experience was. Last night at bedtime BG was 76. I ate most of my carbs at lunch and was light on carbs for dinner. Also, I take 500 mg of slow release metformin at bedtime. I was trying to decide if I should have a snack before bed, even though I was out of calories. I didn't. I wanted to see what happened. This morning my BG was 95. I'm just wondering if I should have eaten that snack -- would it have helped. ?

I have this too.. Everyone I talked with says , Yes we should have something small.. However what you decide on for a snack is something you might have to play with.. My Dr said 1 tablespoon of peanut butter should do the trick.. Your blood sugars are awesome BTW!
