No more insulin

My latest A1C came back at 5.5. I've been lowering my Lantus dose as I've lost weight and I've been down to 7 units for a while. Doctor said I could stop taking the Lantus. No more shots!
To put this in perspective my A1C was 10.5 in September. After that I started Lantus and worked my way up to 25 units to get my blood sugars into the normal range. My last check was in December and my A1C was 6.5.
Recheck in 3 months to see how it maintains. Only medication is 1000mg metformin.
