Feel poorly after a cheat : why?

So it's my birthday (yea!) and yesterday I had a molton chocolate lava cake for desert after my low carb dinner. Within 15 minutes of eating the cake I felt crummy, with headache, nausea and generally upset digestive tract. It was a flour less cake, so gluten can't be blamed. Why did I feel that way? Too high of sugar?
I'm not diabetic or prediabetic, I'm still in ketosis by pee testing, I just want to know the mechanism. Any ideas?

I'm not sure, but this is usually the case with me. If I limit my carbs and then abruptly eat more, I tend to vomit and feel sick. It happens like clockwork... I guess because my body isn't used to eating that amount of carbs, so I have to ease myself into it. I'm not sure, just my opinion.

I always feel like crud after a cheat...doesn't matter if gluten or sugar is to blame. Good thing is, it passes quickly when you resume low-carb. Just remember, you switched your body to a fat-burning machine instead of a carb-burning machine...so when you eat a lot of carbs, your body gets confused. It will work itself out in time :)

    Oh, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
