Hi my name is Sarah, I'm 28, 5'6", and weighed 260 pounds at the start of 2014, 235 pounds as of March 11th. Life has been especially hard the last couple years; my dad had a stroke and passed away in 2012 and then I needed to move. Life events knocked down my motivation, but I am finally snapping out of my funk, getting my energy up, and getting my weight down. My biggest inspiration has been people I've talked to online that have lost over 100 pounds, some managing to do so within a year, without surgery and without starving themselves. With their words of wisdom and support I put their tips to practice and for the first time since I had mono in high school my weight is slow but steadily going down.
My goal is to drop from a size 18 to a size 8 before 2015. I have quite a lot more weight to lose, but with enough self control and discipline it IS possible!! Most of my life I have struggled with balancing exercise and dieting at the same time, exercising makes me hungry and dieting drops my energy, but I finally learned ways to balance my nutrition to minimize and avoid fatigue, also I don't think I would of had nearly as much success without counting calories, it has been crucial to keeping myself accountable. I've been counting calories with another website but heard good things about this website so I'm trying it out.
