Hi! I'm Julia!

I not only just moved to Florida of all places but I was accepted to nursing school and will start in April. I am so excited to finally be living my dream of becoming a nurse but I really feel that at the size I am I won't be taken seriously as a chubby person. I have started and stopped my weight loss journey but this time it really hit home, I finally saw that my weight is effecting more than just my looks it can also make my journey in school harder and the job its self harder.. I want/need a change and I'm on my way to do it..
I have a lot of weight to lose, but I know and hope I can do it!

Any tips or encouragement are welcomed!

From a person who has lost over one hundred pounds my best tip to you is to find out what caused the weight gain first. Getting that fixed is very important to any kind of success with big amounts of weight loss. Then set yourself up for success by having the right foods in the house. I eat whole and healthy but don't deprive myself of any food. So I have a cheeseburger and fries once in a while and sweets in moderation too. Love yourself through the process because you will have bad days and don't beat yourself up when you do. Consistency is really important as well. To see results you have to be consistent with your tracking and healthy eating, consistent with your exercise and consistent with eating a burger and fries once in a while. Yes I just said consistent with eating a burger and fries and the reason is if you don't have it you will not be able to stay on a plan and lose weight. You have to give yourself allowances for bad food. I eat everything from scratch. The crockpot is my best friend. No processed food. It's very high in salt and sugars. And lastly believe in yourself. If you can get into nursing school that tells me that you have drive. Use that same drive to motivate yourself in losing weight. Remember this is an investment in YOURSELF. And you are worth it.

Thank you for that, I almost cried reading that.

I have a problem with self worth and seeing that I am a good person and so on. I am starting to see more determination in myself now that I've started this again and I'm starting to realize that I am worth all this work and effort. It's nice to hear other people for a little affirmation once in awhile.. you never know what you're words will mean to people
