Hi there Challengers and welcome to Week 9 - only 4 weeks to go!!.

I honestly believe that weight loss is NOT just about the number on the scale, it's about having the right mental attitude as well, so please remember to read your goals and affirmations EVERY DAY to remind yourself why you are doing this! I've included some extra questions below, you don't have to answer them if you don't want to - but keeping a positive focus and congratulating yourself for the small things that you do every week is a good way to keep the ball rolling and progressing to your end point.

Achieve your nutrition and fitness goals every day and you WILL reach your 12 week goal. Start with the end in mind!!

    - I get hungry when I am tired.. but I resisted snacking and it paid off for the week.

Hi everyone! Well done on your weight loss, Allie!

I thought I would update my weight since it has been floating around this lower weight for about the last week and a half.

    Name: Michele
    Challenge Starting Weight: 50.3 kg
    Goal Weight: 49 kg

Today's Weight: 49 kg - goal weight reached, even though I have been eating at what I thought was maintenance for the last few weeks. I have upped my calories to a lovely 1930, so will hopefully stick at this weight now.

Weight loss since start of challenge: 1.3 kg

    Today's Measurements:
    Bicep: 23.5 (Start: 24)
    Chest: 75 (Start: 77)
    Waist: 62.5 (Start: 63)
    Hips: 87.5 (Start: 89)
    Thigh: 51 (Start: 52)

Starting Body Fat % (if known): 20.04% (spreadsheet method)
    Goal Body Fat %: 18-19%

    Today's body fat %: 19.02% (spreadsheet method)

What goals did you achieve this week? I completed Week 13 of my half marathon training (4 runs including 1 hr 40 min long run); and 1x bodyweight strength session.

How do you feel? Still a bit sore from my long run on Saturday, and new strength routine yesterday, but ran without pain this morning, so I guess I am not injured. It's something you worry about a bit when upping mileage, that you will start breaking down.

List 3 things you are grateful for?
    Same as ever:
    * My healthy body - it does everything I ask of it, with few complaints.
    * My wonderful husband who loves me - I am lucky to have him.
    * My children who are at gorgeous ages (7, 5 and 3) - I have also had teenagers, so I know to appreciate this time even more!

What are you going to improve on next week?
    * Get my strength sessions in - have only been averaging 1 session per week, instead of 3.
    * Get to bed by 9:30pm, so I can get up at 5am to run!

What goals did you achieve this week?
Actually no goals as i was on holidays for most of it

    How do you feel?
I feel ecstatic, not only did I have a fantastic holiday, I lost weight and have no idea how I did it.
Eat 3 big meals a day, did not really snack and had a few beers a day, a few shots of liquor and the occasional cocktail
I guess I did not sit still a lot, so I can only be very happy for myself.

List 3 things you are grateful for?
My health, my wife and my love of life

What are you going to improve on next week?
More like maintain my weight loss, my 20,000 steps a day.
Run more the 15km non stop in my long run (did 12km the other day)
Attack those last few kg's with a vengeance. :-)

    Weigh in for Monday17th.

Late as usual, next time I must weigh in on Sunday as this is the day I get on computer to Skype home.

Weight went up (go figure as I gave up eating extra this week, by 0.4kilo)
This makes me 62.8 kilo, which is just 0.2kilo shy of goal.
    body fat stable
    lbm stable

Actually I weigh most days, I know I shouldn't, and the figures go up or down a little each time. Cheap scales, probably not reliable at all.

62.8 and is so close to my goal that I think I am going to call it here and I am going to stick with maintenance for a couple more weeks.

The good news is, despite what the scales say, I feel less puffy and bloated.

Weights are all on track. Even did a workout at home yesterday as I missed the gym, improvised a couple of exercises but pretty good considering.

Missed yoga 2 weeks in a row due to overtime at work. Will be back next week. I was enjoying the stretches there.

Managed to get all my fitbit steps in this week :-)

Still not getting enough sleep. My worst bad habit these days :-(
