Foods that snuck up on you

How about a list of foods that you might have eaten, thinking they were "ok" and after you ate it, you realized that
it seemed to have something in it that made your blood sugars go up, or otherwise made you feel weird?

AVOID. Full of "fake sugars" that are actually--high fructose corn syrup.

*sigh* I have been eating these for years. But the last couple of times I ate them, I felt.. 'weird' and my after-lunch blood sugar was higher than it should have been. I looked at the ingredients, I found that it contains Dextrose.
(Dextrose actually has a higher glycemic index rating than sugar, so it makes your blood sugar levels go up faster and then...dive.)
Grillers have never bothered me before...I'm really bummed. I could have just had a candy bar and it wouldn't have made me feel like this. :sad:

Perhaps I'm just getting more sensitive to artificial sweeteners. I can't do anything with High Fructose Corn Syrup, Dextrose,
Corn Starch, or a combination of these.

BAH. Humbug. :angry:
