hand strength

With the dumbbell exercises, I am limited only because of hand/wrist strength. Is this normal? Any thoughts?

    I am the same way... time is what helped me. Also using plates instead can sometimes help depending on the exercise!

    Yup. Same problem. I switched somethings to a barbell over the back so I could keep improving (step-ups and lunges in stage 1). Stage 2, I just kept the barbell with step-ups and went back to dumbells with the lunges. I found because they were static, it was less strain on my fingers for some reason (maybe because I could do them quicker..?).

    I am having the same problem :/ I went and got one of those spring handle things. The one I got has an adjustable weight setting and I am really hoping that it will help :) It was $15 at Kmart. I have only had the thing about a week, but for only 15 it is worth a shot to me :)
