Random question about bruises

For a long time now I have been noticing bruises on the bottom of my shin - often both legs. I do not ever recall bumping into anything or an event which hurt them. I am wondering if, by a slim chance, this could be something I'm doing when I work out? My exercise consists of NROL lifting, body combat (non contact for those who are unfamiliar) and walking/ running. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar?

Sometimes I get bruises in places where I am sore from running after I have had a good session with the foam roller and "the stick".0

Not sure if your program has dead lifts but the bar may be scraping or hitting your shins?0

^ yes. happens to me quite often... when i dl i focus on everything else but the bar hitting my shins - thats the least of my worries at that moment of time.0

I've had bruises a few times from deadlifts, but I never remembered actually "hitting" my shins. I'd just get home and have big reddish marks at the top of my shins. Hasn't happened for a while though.0

I get them sometimes from deadlifts - not as often now I sumo though - but with conventionals - quite often. It's pretty common. I assume you deadlift when you lift so that could easily be why.0

Yes I do DL. I don't hit my shins with the bar though :-/0

I am not sure why you would get the bruising. However, as a side note, you should be effectively scraping the bar up your legs for DLs (unless you are doing SLDLs).0
