Low calorie Gatorade G2

Last night, I kept drinking water; bottle after bottle; it was NOT quenching my thirst; I got even more thirsty and had dry mouth, dry throat. I went to the kitchen to get low cal, low carb G2 and it helped. I was quenched and able to sleep. Today, same thing-only I discovered that it was a cold coming on. I don't want to keep drinking Gatorade--this will put me over my carb goal. I tried other vitamin waters and can't stomach them. G2 is where it's at for me. Have I ruined my low carb plan by drinking it? It was 32 ounces throughout the night roughly about 17g of carbs total. I aim for 50 and have been there or lower. I am still worried because my body tends to want to gain faster than it wants to lose. Any input would be appreciated; thanks:)

I drink powerade zero or propel zero when im thirsty and they have no carbs and taste pretty good. A few days going over carbs probably isnt going to ruin the diet much.

I also do powerade zero. I find the taste sweeter than it needs to be so I mix it half/half with water and use it for my drinks during exercise. I find I absolutely *need* the extra electrolytes as a low-carb heavy-exerciser, so it's a mainstay. It's always in my water bottle :)

You do probably need to make sure your electrolytes are balanced, which is what G2 is good for.
When I'm in running mode, I almost always have it available as I sweat out a lot of sodium.
I think if it's barely putting you over 50 g of carbs, you're probably going to be fine.
If you're getting a cold or something, your body will probably need those electrolytes to get better. No worries.
I'm also on a lower carb plan, but I have my goal set to 30% carbs, which is about 170 g of carbs. I'm usually under that and feel I get the benefits of the lower carb diet.
How long have you been on 50 g per day (induction)? You probably shouldn't be there in the long term, you could probably go to 100 g and be okay too.
