Just really wanted to say hello
I so need to lose weight and currently follow the eat more attitude - which is working really well.. then I decided that I needed to up my exercise and gyms were getting a tad dull - so got inspired and signed up for the race for life muddy 5k run - at end of may (http://raceforlife.cancerresearchuk.org/types-of-event/pretty-muddy/index.html)
So I picked up the C25k app (again) and grabbed the podcasts (they make such a difference!) and currently in week 2 day 2 (tonight) - last time I did it on a treadmill and instead of running longer I ran faster!! go figure - so this time much better!
totally loving it - and considering I hate running, I hate being seen/looked at - I cannot believe how much I am enjoying it!
I am taking it slow and well we shall see
Anyway I just wanted to say hello and look forward to touching base with my progress going forwards! Cannot wait until I can run for real
Thank you for reading

Good luck Sarah, one of the ladies in my office is half way through c25k in training for the Aberdeen Race for Life. I think the muddy 5k sounds more fun!0

The self consciousness goes away pretty quickly. By week 6 it'll just be part of what you do.0

Thanks and yes I thought that the muddy run sounded more fun too - although from the description its also hardest as its a semi assault course!!! Week 3 this week so needing lots of luck I think!!
And I really hope the self consciousness does go away - but its more weight wise then anything else you know the "fat girl running" ....0
