So far this month: 16 miles. Goal: 500

I'm not sure of a good goal for this month, but I've been doing one of Leslie's old 2 mile walking tapes lately and made it through the 3 mile one this morning - yay! Therefore, I'll set a goal this month of 15 miles of Leslie and plan to get other activity in as well.

Just started Walking with Leslie Sansone the last week of March. Love it!
Found this group today. Slow start so far this month.

Just finished my first Leslie Sansone 3 mile DVD. Oh me oh my! What a workout! ???? Loved it! I also walked our dog this afternoon for 0.61 miles.

Today I did:
AM: 1 Mile Central Park Walk and Walk It Off in 30 - Firm (standing strength training portion with 10 & 20 lbs weights)
PM: 2.5 brisk outdoor miles
Total Miles: 35.75
I'm in a bind because in the evenings I walk with my partner. He is not super overweight - working on losing maybe 25 lbs., but I am in much better shape than he is and he has some old athletic injuries. I really enjoy our walks because we bond and I inspire him (he calls me coach haha). The thing is I want to walk faster and longer, but I know he couldn't keep up with me right now.
I'm going to continue to go at his pace however. When I think back to all of those years when I was trying to keep up with him and he never left me in a cloud of dust so I why should I do that to him now. I'm very thankful to be in great shape and health and working hard everyday to keep going. When I have time to go alone I will go whenever I can.0 -

Walked 1.73 miles yesterday. Not as much as usual but still got a nice walk in.

I think it is safe to say I am not going to hit my goal of 20 miles this month. I am hoping by next week to feel up to getting up early and doing 1 mile a day. I am not as fatigued and exhausted as last week, but I am still not 100%.
My goal for the rest of April is no longer 20 miles, but as many miles as I can. I'll keep you posted.

0 miles: walking outdoors
Goal for March: ? miles, An increased emphasis on strength will change my usual mileage.
So far: 21 Leslie/ or other walking DVD miles

Tuesday & Wednesday I did extra deep cleaning/ moving furniture and yard work so I didn't 'walk' for exercise :happy: .
