Did my first workout yesterday and I underestimated my weights I think. I just finished Body Revolution which uses weights but the weight is lower and the moves are faster so I was not sure what to expect. The highest I used were 13s and I am trying 15 on those moves next time. I really have to work on slowing down my moves. I have to admit, I was a little disappointed when I woke up barely sore today. I wore my HRM just to see what the burn looked like and it was 268. I know that is not very accurate though so I am probably going to eat back around 150 on my lifting days.

How did everyone's first workout go? Did you sweat a lot? Were you sore and if so, what were you doing before you started? How are you logging the burn?

Are you saying you did BC1 yesterday?

I don't normally feel soreness the same day or even the day after. But the DAY AFTER the day after (so day 3?) I do! Also, not everyone feels sore, it's about pushing yourself to that last rep.

Do you normally have DOMS, is that why you are concerned?

I have been halving my calorie burn from my HRM since I think it really over-estimates.

I started again 3/24 but do my exercises at the gym MWF with treadmill time on T/Th.

I did do Burn Circuit 1 and not sure what DOMS means but when I first start working out I usually get sore muscles the day after. I did just come off of Body Revolution so maybe my muscles are just 'prepped" for it now. I am upping my weights on most of the exercises because I made it to 12 and I think I could have made it a few more. I can always hop back down I can't get to nine. I try to go between the beginner and what she is using..

DOMS = Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness.

I agree that if you get to 12 and you can still keep going that you should increase your weights. I know personally I have a hard time going slow enough.

I've learned too that if I don't track the weights I don't progress because I don't see the nudge. On the paper I write a "+" or a :( to let me know easily what I need to do.

I did the same +/- thing on my sheet so I know what I want to try next time. I think it is going to take some time to get used to how slow she goes. Even she was going to fast on the one set. Looking forward to today's workout to work everything out.
