Question About Skin Flushing

This is probably a stupid question but here it goes. Is it a bad thing to have widespread skin flushing (e.g., on the upper arms, shoulders, and chest) while swimming laps? I know that flushing while exercising is how the body cools down when sweat can't evaporate fast enough to cool you down but my flushing is pretty extensive. I never feel bad, though, like I'm overheated or dehydrated.

I dont think its a problem. I think you are just cooling yourself. Unless of course your having some type of mild reaction to the chlorine in the pool. but if your just flush after a workout your ok I would think.

I get it all the time especially on my shoulders and back. The ladies are constantly asking me if I'm sunburned. As far as I know it's ok. I usually take a cool shower after.
