So, has anyone noticed a slight weight gain at the start?

I have done 3 days of 30DS so far, and not only have I been terribly sore but I have also had some weight gain. I did go over my calories a bit yesterday, but the gain was noticed prior to that. Has anyone else noticed a slight weight gain, or am I just being a freak lol

Yes, I have, around 5lbs!!! I kind of expected it, so I've told myself I'm keeping off the scales for the 30 days and just using a tape measure. I have lost a little in inches already, and I can see a bit of difference in some of the places I don't measure (around the back etc) so not too worried as no-one else will see my weight on the scales, but they will see me (hopefully after losing some inches).. Hope this helps a little xx

It's most likely your muscles holding onto water for repair. Nothing to freak out about.

Agree :) kinda confusing when it first happens. But your not doing anything wrong, and I think it will start going down the next couple weeks :) hang in there!!

Yes, I have seen a bump in my weight. discouraging, but I think that ochibi91 is spot on. Here's an article that explains what's most likely happening: http://www.coachcalorie.com/working-out-but-gaining-weight/

Okay, thanks! I did come across an article earlier today talking about that too. I was feeling a bit discouraged but I will hopefully see the weight coming off of me here in a week or two :)

I gained 2# last week, not happy about it, but hopefully that and more will come off in the next couple weeks.

I gained 1# last week, but I know once my body gets use to the new exercise the weight should hopefully start coming off again.

Same here! I put on a pound. But I was previously only working out on the elliptical so I think some of my muscles are in shock and trying to repair. We will all get there and drop some weight!

Me too! Just over a pound. This thread is reassuring though!

glad to see I wasnt the only one, had a 1-2 lb weight gain and was feeling discouraged. Along with the knee pain, glad to see it gets better

My weight is back where it started (after a 2 pound bump)... I'm hoping to see it dip in the next week. I am noticing that I'm getting stronger! :)

And I'm trying to be gentle with my knees modifying as necessary. I do static lunges instead of squats and I do the very tiniest of slide lunges...
