Going raw asap!

Need help and advice! How much calories/carbs/sugars should I expect?
Planning on doing 80% raw and 20% "normal" vegan?
But for the next 2 weeks to a month I'm possibly going full raw!
Any help would be great!

Firstly, try not to have a purist attitude. "Pure is not law" is a great motto to live by- if you want to go fully raw that's great! But it is entirely normal to have cravings for cooked foods, and it is OKAY to let yourself have a cooked meal if you want it. The best transition is a very slow one. Don't expect it to be really easy because raw can be difficult...if you eat enough calories then that's the best way to avoid cooked foods! Personally, I could not live without my rice or gluten free pasta, but I admire those who stick with fully raw.
Eat at least 2500 calories a day from raw food sources. Like I said before, if you under eat on raw foods you are likely to turn to cooked foods or vegan junk. You should eat in abundance...as much as you need to to feel satiated. Eat as many carbs as you like! That is the point. Carb up!
What to expect...well this way of living is wonderful. Like I said, if you fancy a cooked meal a day or every couple of days let yourself do it. It is entirely unrealistic to expect to be able to do two months fully raw straight away! However, it will provide you with wonderful results! Both ways! Good Luck.0 -
I agree with HoneydewLouu. I think RawTill4 is a great place to start. Basically you eat fully raw all day until your dinner. (Or course you can always make your cooked meal breakfast or lunch if you really want.)
I wish you the best of luck!0 -
I'm trying to go raw, too! I tried back in December, but I had only recently changed my way of eating and thinking and I didn't really know the vegan staples or anything. Now that's it's been a few months, I'm gonna attempt to give raw a try again. I do agree about not being a purist. I have more vegan things in my kitchen now, so when I read recipes there's not just "???" above my head, LOL!0
