GOOD MORNING!!!!!!
I am so so happy today! In my workout last night I upped my weights to 5's, did as many regular pushups as I could before going to my knees, and I got through all of the side plank raises without doing the modified version! Then this morning I stepped on the scale and it FINALLY moved again!! I'm officially out of the 200's!! Only by a pound, but it still counts!
I hope you all have a great weekend!!!0 -
^Nice!
Well, it's another strike-out for me today. Today was the last day of school before Spring Break, plus our neighborhood is locked up for a vip visit to the museum, and so DH picked son up from school and took him out for some Daddy time instead of the tutor today, so I'm hanging out with lil girl and getting dinner ready since I'll be at a DDS appt during regular dinner time :indifferent: . (Believe me, I did try to talk DH into taking BOTH kids, but he's not the type to do that--which is why I have so little time to workout I guess.) Wish me luck for the weekend (should be easier to get something done, but I'm almost afraid to say that!)
Okay, I'm off to burn dinner. jk. TGIF! Have a good one.
eta: congrats Diana!!! That's GREAT! Those side raises are tough!0 -
Congrats dianalee! There's all kinds of awesome stuff going on in your post today!
Hang in there, Sherry! Hope your routine settles down soon so you can start sneaking in workouts again.
I'm still on PTO from my eye surgery, so I saw my trainer at 7:30 this morning - shoulders/chest & abs again today. My surgeon told me to call this morning if I still wasn't seeing clearly (because I go back to work Monday), and I'm not, so I called them from the gym parking lot shortly after they opened. They asked if I could come right away - so off I went, in my gym clothes, to the eye doctor. It's a 45 minute drive and while I was legal to drive my vision wasn't great, so it was a nerve-wracking drive. Fortunately I was able to take back roads. They got me fitted into temporary contacts that has cleared my vision up quite a bit. They're not super comfortable (they didn't have trial lenses on hand in the brand I used to wear) but that's okay - I can see. I'll see my doctor next Friday morning for another follow-up. My eyes haven't completely healed yet, and with this type of surgery it can take several weeks for my vision to stabilize, so they'll just keep fitting me with trial contacts until I don't need them anymore.
Heading out for a run this afternoon. Normally I would run on Saturdays but it's beautiful this afternoon (low 50's and sunny) and is supposed to be cold with a "wintry mix" tomorrow, so I'm running while it's nice out.0 -
Lucky me, got a little activity in after all. That vip visit to the museum coincided with my trip to the dentist and I had to walk 2 stations away from our neighborhood to catch the metro to the dds. They had 4 metro stops closed for one person's visit. sigh. Anyway, I appreciate that I got in a really good walk, but it'd been much nicer if it hadn't started raining JUST as I was starting off. :grumble:  Took the stairs at the metro on the way back (too much of a hurry on the way there) and picked up a couple of kilos of berries and some other groceries and carried home. Not a "workout", but better than nothing.
Laura, well-done on the workout and run. Hope your eyes are much better before you have to start back to work--you've been a trooper through it.0 -
