^Ain't that the truth! Sometimes that's the only way.
Well, I am SORE today.
This week son is still going to tutor half the week, even though school is out. But today it'll be cut short for playdate afterwards, plus lil girl is not sick any longer and itching to go play on the playground. So all that means that I'll probably take lil girl to the playground instead of hitting the gym today. My muscles could use the recovery time anyway.
Have a great one everyone!0 -
Today's quote was me yesterday, but I still did my workout! Very proud of myself with this round of 30 Day Shred. This is the first time I have stuck with it for the full 30 days. Normally I start off really well and then would find an excuse to skip a day, say I would make it up later and then never would, and then would just eventually stop doing it altogether. This time, I made a promise to myself that I was really going to push and do the entire thing. I did miss one day last weekend, but then I did the workout twice the following day. I'm looking forward to being done on Friday and seeing the changes in my after pictures.0

Sherry this is totally meant in the right way but I'm glad you're sore today -- means you got a great workout in yesterday! And yes, let your body recover today.
Congrats Dianalee for sticking with it! Sometimes that's just what you've got to do - no excuses.
I am back to work today for the first time post-surgery, and I'm feeling better than I expected to. I've been so tired, although it was hard to know how much of that was recovery and how much of that was because I've been at home and taking frequent naps for the past 10 days. My eyes are tired and these contacts are horribly uncomfortable, but they're holding up okay. Peeling them off my eyes at the end of the day might not be much fun, but they're allowing me to function at work.
I got out of bed early and went for a 2 mile run this morning. I needed it both psychologically and physically. There's something about starting my day with a run that just sets the right tone, and it is finally light enough to get at least a short run in before work. I see my trainer after work.0 -
Glad your better Laura hang in there, I bet Friday will feel extra good this week!!
I am hosting my bookclub tonight so cleaning, putting out extra chairs for 10 women and baking a special recipe of "baby food carrot cake" with cream cheese frosting. Its a recipe I got years ago when I was in early 20's for me thats over 30 years ago.
I changed it a bit, added less sugar and used more apple sauce and less oil. The reason its is called baby food carrot cake is you add 1 jar of pureed carrots, apple sauce and apricots. It is smooth made this way instead of the pieces of carrots when you make regular carrot cake and i bought organic baby food with nothing added to it.
I am making them in bunny cupcake wrappers with tiny choc bunnies on top of frosting. In my club everyone makes semi healthy goodies and all except a few are thin and work out, they are great motivators, 5 of them are in my Nia class and one is the teacher.
It never ceases to amaze me how at all our dinners and meetings the thin ones eat small plates and are totally happy and satisfied, I go back and forth depending on the month!! lol
It was funny I haven't bought baby food in many many years, everything looked different...
I am either having day off or short walk, getting ready for party.0 -
Quick check in today. Went to work. Came home. Ran 3.75 miles with Fells. Did more work. Will do trainer homework and other body weight stuff, then bed.0
