Newbie here, looking for friends of a similar age

Hi all! Someone said to me that "Old" is always 20 years older than your current age. I'll go with that.

This is my second time in my life -ever- trying to get fit. I was the quintessential geek all through school - with the concomitant hazings. So I never bothered to try any physical activities, ever.

The first time trying to get fit was just a few years ago here on MFP. I lost 50 pounds and became strong enough to cycle 35 miles without feeling beat to pieces.

Then some traumatic life setbacks caused me to fall of the wagon and eat for comfort. Then I allowed a new job to replace all my exercise time. I gained back all weight and feel less fit than ever in my life.

I could really use some help and encouragement from people of a similar age.
-Doug

I'm 61. I'm on maintenance and my ability to keep up with everyone is hit and miss but I've logged on every day for almost 900 days so I won't go MIA on ya! Feel free to add me if that fits the bill. Good luck!
