Breast feeding AND thyroid issues, need help setting goals

Hi guys, I've read what I can but don't see anything addressing these issues.
I'm just getting started at 7 months pp, so no weight loss or routine to speak of.
My stats are:

37 f
Height 5'1"
Weight 172
Breast feeding and Hashimotos and on medication.
Body fat according to my scale is a whopping 40% :(

I honestly have no idea what to aim for. Or where to put my macros. And it's driving me crazy.
I've been tracking my food and I weigh everything to the gram.
I drink at least 96 oz of water a day but don't log it.
I work out when I can on the elliptical but its not consistent as I have no child care help.
I aim for 4-5 workouts of a half hour to an hour per week just to stay active. No access to weights at the moment :(

If I could get some help as to where to start and how to account for those two things I'd appreciate it!

    Anyone?
I set mfp to lose a half pound per week. Added 300 to that number for breastfeeding and knocked 100 off for thyroid. Am I on the right path?

Are you working with a doctor about your plan? This is something that needs a professional opinion, and us internet folks may not have the knowledge to properly help you.

ETA: You can strength train using your body weight. I've heard lots of people recommend "You Are Your Own Gym" as a good book for this, though I've never read it myself.
