*** Today's Tip: QUIT SMOKING AND MAINTAIN YOUR WEIGHT
Many people worry about gaining weight when they stop smoking. While
some people do gain a few pounds when they quit smoking, this weight
gain is minimized by increasing physical activity. Don't let weight
gain be a reason to avoid quitting. Even if you do temporarily gain a
few pounds, you can lose weight later; the damage to your lungs
becomes permanent if you keep smoking.
