Happy Easter! Καλό Πάσχα!

Couldn't find an Easter pic for the threadstarter, so went with a theme of "sacrifice", which seemed apropos.

Today I went out for a short jog (about 25min, through Plaka, downtown, and back). I wanted to do that today because it's the one day per year that Athens is totally different--emptied of cars and people (but a very few), nice weather, and the smell (and sight) of lamb roasting on the spit everywhere you go. It was great, kinda want to do it again. haha! All the church stuff happened at midnight last night, so there weren't even church-going folks around, everyone was resting inside (or away at their family/village home) except tourists & a few people out for walks or needing a cup of coffee and the tourist restaurants & neighborhoods who are roasting lambs on the street. Now, to color some eggs with the kids and off to their greatgrandmother's for dinner later.

Sounds like a great run! I'm hoping to get out this afternoon for a long run. I'm either getting sick, or I'm just suffering from allergies plus feeling a little run down (which I think is probably the answer). It was a long week, and a busy weekend, and last night I kind of hit the wall. Instead of going to the gym I took a hot shower, brewed some hot tea, and went to bed early. Sill not feeling 100% this morning so I'm glad I didn't push it last night. Not sure how my trainer is going to feel about that decision, but I'm sticking with it.

We have church at 8:00 am. I wish it had been at midnight! Okay I was in bed by 9:30 last night, but in theory I wish it had been at midnight. Then I'll come home for a couple of hours before heading back to my niece's house for lunch.

I should probably start getting ready for church. Have a great day, everyone!

We are driving over the pass to Woodinville to a great nursery there to pick up some new rose bushes, they are called melon lemonade and are yellow with pink inside.

We bought one last year to try out and see if winter doesn't kill, and it made it fine after we covered it, so getting more.

I don't go to church so Easter isn't religious for me but happy for all who celebrate it!

Happy Easter to all! Didn't have time for exercise until late afternoon, but got out to a local park then with the dogs. The plan was for us to be there about 2 hours and to run 2-4 miles as well as walk the paths. I did not dress in my running clothes though. I don't know what I was thinking! We got there and started out, but when i started running, my jeans, that I had just bought, my size 8 jeans, the smallest pants I own, started falling down as i ran. I needed a belt! Revision in plan. We still stayed there for 2 hours, but walked except for two five minute runs where I tried to do it while holding my pants up and one period when I stopped to take pictures of the dogs and the scenery. The bay was rough today with many crashing waves.

Then we came home and I changed clothes and then ran around the neighborhood to get a couple of miles in. I'll do my body conditioning work tonight and then bed.
