Running instead of cardio DVD?

Has anyone had success running instead of doing the cardio DVD? I'm trying to get back in shape and train for a 5k at the end of May and with 3 kids and a very full time job, I can't fit everything in....

I took a look at a summary of the cardio DVD and know it's not for me. Most of the items I have done in other Jillian Michael workouts and my stamina is just not there to do two straight minutes much less 30. I've opted to do my rocking body workout which is more cardio, or do a run/walk.0

I was doing my c25k instead of her cardio for phase 2. I've just started phase 3 and am using my c210k runs instead. Otherwise I wouldn't be able to get through both. I did cardio 2 a couple of times and liked it better than cardio 1. I haven't looked at cardio 3 yet.0

I dont do the cardio dvd's I praise myself for just getting the dvd's in 4 days a week. I am working on c25k also along. personal opinion in as long as you throw in some short burst sprints and hits you'll are fine.0
