Hi all!
Still in a bit of a t.o.m. funk, so DH took the kids to see their greatgrandmother and I just did some tabata sets. Did low weight clean & jerk for 4min tabata, then a wall sit and then another set of the c&j tabata. That'll probably be all for today and I'll make-up my gym workouts this week.
Hope everyone's having a great Sunday!
eta: anyone wanting to do tabata, youtbube tabatasongs--makes it go fast0 -
Oh yeah, did seated knee tucks for a tabata set too. My brain and body are trying to forget those I guess. :sad:0

I've never tried tabata. Will need to one of these days because I keep hearing it's killer.
Be okay if t.o.m. was t.o.y (year) or t.o.n (never). I'm on a shot so I don't actually get mine, which is glorious. A little hormonal sometimes but that's the worst of it.
Glad you're enjoying your trip, Marla! How cool that you found a nia class to go to.
I ended up at the gym late last night. Did a quick session - 20 minutes on the elliptical, 20 minutes on the bike, then I stretched/foam rolled. There are some band exercises Jason often has me do on the weekends but I was so tired I just wanted to get out of there, and since he didn't tell me to do them I didn't feel obligated. There are weekends he has me skip them so that is only half as lame of an excuse as it sounds. It was such a long day. I went to a baby shower in the morning and made a quick stop at Target while I was in town. As I was driving home I was thinking I really wasn't in the mood to run so I would keep it for today, and then it started sprinkling anyway which sealed the deal. Was home a couple hours when I got a text from a friend who was having an emotional crisis, so I went to her house for a few hours. Got back to town after 9:00, went to the gym, stopped at the grocery store (so I wouldn't have to go today), and finally got home after 11:00. Woke up this morning to the sun, though, so it looks like a beautiful day for a run.0 -
I ran 13 miles! Previous longest run was 11 miles last weekend.0

Way to go Laura!! You're blowing your old distances away!
Also, re: tabata, it's really just 20sec on/ 10sec off intervals for 4 minutes. The actual research was using ridiculously high output that really only hill sprints and possibly allout jump rope can maybe replicate. But, for me, I was going to do a different interval timing but didn't feel like setting up the timer, so I just youtubed tabatasongs instead (#lazy haha).
Donna, way to keep up the running. Hope it was a good flyball weekend.0
