There is little doubt that losing weight through healthy eating and
exercise can improve your health. But, did you know that losing as
little as 3-5 percent of your current body weight can make a
difference? You may want or need to lose more weight, but this initial
weight loss is achievable and has many health benefits. According to
new weight-related guidelines, even modest, sustained weight loss can
lower triglycerides, blood glucose, A1C, and the risk of developing
type 2 diabetes.
