When working out is less important

So I really want consistency in my routine but I have night school 3 nights a week. I go to the gym on all off nights and once on Saturday. I have little wiggle room.
Today is my off day and I should go. I am motivated to go. I want to. But I feel guilty. My cat has an unexpected condition and we need to tend to him.
Yesterday I was out all day and left my DH with the cat. He had a lot of yucky chores to address while I was having fun. This was something we were both invited too and decided there was no point that we both stayed home and he agreed to stay, though he was definitely jealous, understandably. So tonight, I really don't want to selfishly "escape" for almost 2 hours to the gym. We also need to take care of dinner as yesterday we didn't cook as we normally do.
Now, on the one hand, consistency is very important.
On the other hand, I think my cat and my relationship are more important. Because bottom line- this program for me is more about vanity than well being. I still walk at least a mile and half each day just getting around, so at the very minimum I get 30 minutes of movement.
I honestly am not looking to find an excuse not to go. I just don't know what to do.
And ideas?
Thanks!

How about working out at home? It might not be the same as going to the gym, but even if you don't have weights, there are a lot of body weight exercises you can do.0

I have 3 young kids. Sometimes life happens. I pick up where I left off and sometimes a short break can boost my motivation even more. Don't stress or feel guilty. Balance your life the best you can:)0

Yep I agree, you gotta balance your life! Just pick up later where you left off - you'll be fine
This is for life remember, you got a long time to figure it out :flowerforyou:0 -
Thanks guys.
We ended up having to leave the cat at the hospital but we got home pretty late and had some major cleaning to do. So I did exercise- with the mop.0
