How do you use the food calculator for ADF?

Hi.
New here. I started ADF a week ago and I now decided to use MFP for calorie count. Setting a daily calorie goal with the daily log seems impossible as I eat on a 48 hours cycle.

  • I agree, it isn't terribly useful.

I've been fasting (no solid food at all) every other day since the beginning of the year so on a fast day I consume about 200 calories and MFP says I'm not eating enough.

On eating days I vary between trying to keep roughly to the daily target (which has mostly been around 1500 cals) and let myself go days where I often don't record anything because I know I'm probably more like 3000.

It's not an exact science by any means and the principle thing for me is really recording the calories that I do consume so that I have control. Sorry if its not very helpful but I've lost 37kg on ADF in 4 months so I'm happy...

Agreed it can be worthless to use the system as is, but you can use it to calorie count and write it down manually. I go on 24 hour fasts, and not calender days. I have an excell spreadsheep with the times on it and highlight it in red for fast times, and yellow for feast times, and then write down the calorie content next to the time whe I eat.

That way I can keep track of my calories during each cycle.
