Hi all, did a walk on Napa trail yesterday and today heading out soon for trail at Howarth park/spring lake. Heat wave here in 90's so have to go early.

Dealing with some heavy mental stuff because of my daughters divorce. I accidentally said a few words while they were arguing last night and son n law yelled at me. It was just so hard to hear him lie and berate her. I know to keep out of it but I feel like a mamma bear.

My life just isn't drama like that, I don't know how my daughter does it.

I am staying with my travel club at retired college professors house, thank god mellow here!

Hope you all have nice day! :flowerforyou:

By the way...I loved the pic so much I posted on FB. Thank you it really helped me.

Enjoy the walks / hikes, Marla! Sorry about the drama and hope that nature will sooth your soul.

It's supposed to be a high of 73F today and overcast or drizzly all day. Such a difference from hot and sunny yesterday! Of course, yesterday was the day set aside for exercising and today will be more difficult to get out.

I will get something done though, most likely trainer homework, although I still am sore from yesterday's workout. I'll do stairs at work too, but that's not as appealing when I really want to go outside.

I've arranged to take tomorrow off work, so I start tomorrow with a run. Then I need to get things together and start on my trip. I may not be able to get back to the forums until after Memorial Day, so everyone have a good week and a nice holiday if you celebrate it!

Marla that sounds exhausting. I don't deal well with drama either. I find it exhausting. Glad you have a refuge while you're there, and that you're able to get out for some great walks. I'm guessing the scenery is amazing. I am not jealous of the heat though!

Donna hope your travels go well and that you get everything done that you need to do before you go.

I had a lot of activity yesterday and not very many calories considering how much I did. I just wasn't super hungry, but today I am starving, so I seem to be making up for that deficit. I have a trainer session tonight and should probably get in some kind of cardio before.

    ^Yes, I agree--great threadstarter today.

Marla, glad to hear you have a peaceful refuge and hope the divorce drama will end soon.

Donna, have a great trip and events.

Laura, love the picture! You must be so close now.

So, DH leaves Friday and work is getting more and more demanding til then. Today I took both kids to the tutor again, but this time DH couldn't meet me, so I brought lil girl all the way back home and left her there with DH who had just got home to do some work at home. I ran to the gym, did a good upper body workout in a very busy gym, ran back to the tutor to pick-up son, walked halfway home with son (while he had an ice cream cone). Good workout, but I got a little overindulgent at dinner--all lean meat and salad, but lots of it. Still, my calorie balance is nothing as bad as it used to be--still hoping for an overall fat loss by the end of the month. Also, been thinking alot about what I'll do while DH is gone since I won't get to run or to the gym since I have no other childcare.

    Have a good one!
